Z E N B I O L O G Y ?

youtube: "Zen Biology Lesson"
" The real "You" the Silent Aware Mind, is not confined to a brain, or anything else. "

What amazes me with all these elegant explanations over and over: Does really no one notice that particularly in the case of brain activity, "the observed" is modified by "the observering"?

Even a "Silent Mind Aware" is (and remains) a fabricated construct and, incidentally, "the brain" as the observed one. Basically, one construct is "watched" by another construct. If language is allowed to be abandoned in meditation, i.e. the meditator manages indeed to prevent any verbal activity, then necessarily also any instrument lacks to describe linguistically the resulting meditative states. (...  unnecessary to notice that this also applies for visual or auditory imagination). Neurologically considered the objection can be made that such a "closure" of the verbal mean, for a currently perceiving consciousness does not mean that by a temporary immobilization of these structures the brain is deprived of any activities are directly or indirectly. The mentioned "linguistic structures", although they are outside the reach of a current awareness, continue to be effective. Even a temporary inefficiency in terms of not measurable electric currents or chemical activity does not mean that, seen from a position of relevance and effectiveness, this can be said for the entire system.

There remains only the reference to Wittgenstein, Tractatus Item 7 "Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent." ... with the emphasis on the word "must" and "you" [germ. "man"!], said second option is as important as the former, or stresses the first one. The use of "you" as an abbreviation of "everyone" lays claim to absolute necessity.
Could the sentence alternatively given like this: "Whereof can not be spoken, thereof ...
[ translation lacks (and sucks) - srry ] " ?  ;-)
